This client advertisement was created for the playbill for St. Ambrose Academy's musical playbill.

The ad featured a photo of a semi tractor parked near an American flag, the company logo, and contact information. I placed the logo and contact information in the negative space in the top left on a black bar to create contrast, which extended across the ad and behind the waving flag to create depth.

The ad also ran in the 2026 St Ambrose Academy musical playbill.

This advertisement was created for a client to be placed in the playbill for St. Ambrose Academy's annual musical.

The content for the ad was a photo of an example farm stand, the logo, and the contact information for the franchiser.

In order to make the farm stand more visible from the busy parking lot and business background, I isolated the stand and blurred the background, as well as darkening it slightly. A border was placed over the photo, slightly overlapped by the stand to create depth, and the logo then placed on a star shape to explode from the ad. The contact number was placed with ample whitespace and contrast in the bottom of the frame to get maximum attention.

This advertisement won First Place: Promotional House Ad awards from the Catholic Press Association of the United States and Canada in 2012. The ad features the tagline "Take steps to strengthen your faith," with a visual of the Catholic Herald on the steps leading to the doors of the cathedral. The promotional nature of the text at the bottom of the ad provides a strong message directing readers to the purpose of the newspaper, why they should subscribe, and how to subscribe.

This promotional advertisement won the First Place award for Promotional Ad from the Catholic Press Association of the United States and Canada in 2013.

The advertisement features a martini glass with an edition of the Catholic Herald rolled up as the stirrer and the tagline, "How do you like your soul? We prefer ours stirred, not shaken," referencing the famous quote from the Bond franchise.

The design offers clean white space and striking contrast for the words, leading the reader down the page toward the action item to subscribe to the newspaper. Colors were limited so that the palette emphasized the cleanliness of the design.
