My story

My journey toward a career in design began in a love of language and artistry. My college focus had been in genetics, but two years into my degree I discovered that in agricultural journalism, I could intertwine my love of writing with my love of science, and I soon joined the Daily Cardinal as a freelance science writer and copy editor.

I took several classes in layout and design during my three years at UW-Madison as I completed my double major, but I did not discover how much I truly enjoyed the process of visual storytelling until I joined the Catholic Herald: a small weekly with only three editorial staff. Joining Lee Enterprises, Inc., as a designer cemented that love and developed my skills in fast-paced and high-volume layout and design, as well as gave me experience in management.

Over the years, I have evolved from a student of print layouts to a specialist in creating sophisticated editorial identities that bridge the gap between traditional craftsmanship and modern digital aesthetics.

With a focus on print design, I bring a neo-classical minimalism to every project. My work is defined by a commitment to clarity and a refined editorial edge, ensuring that every playbill and advertisement tells a story with precision and purpose.
